You will leave feeling energized, refreshed, and inspired as you continue on your journey.Â
What is a blue zone?
Blue Zones are special areas of the earth where people live longer, healthier and happier lives. These protected areas have an extremely rich nature and a high-frequency energetic field. Studies show that people who live in Blue Zones are less stressed and often live to the age of 100 or more. They live in harmony with nature, maintain strong community connections, embrace a slower pace of life, enjoy balanced meals made with local ingredients, and prioritize family-centred living.

Activities & experiences included

Embrace Connection and Relaxation
This is a profound soul journey where you will get to meet and engage with a community of open-minded, loving people. Our retreat celebrates the unity and collective energy of New Earth, offering a peaceful environment to explore inner calm and connection.
Studies have found that individuals with high quality social networks tend to live longer than those with fewer social connections, and that the presence of close relationships is a predictor of longevity.
Our goal is to offer you a chance of renewal and relaxation while simultaneously emphasizing the importance of collective support in your life, to create something that you can take back home with you, such as a new loving family.

A Sanctuary for the Soul
Our retreat takes place in a sanctuary for relaxation and personal enrichment, in a beautiful glamping resort only a few steps away from the ocean. Costa Rica is the most biodiverse country on Earth, allowing you to experience nature in all its wonders, cultivating presence while you quiet the mind and take in the world around you.
The energetic grid of a Blue Zone provides a combination of natural and environmental elements that can help harmonize the body and mind. Offer yourself this gift, to immerse your being in the rhythms of the earth and nurture your soul with love and remembrance. Together we will enjoy various wellness practices, local unprocessed foods, and peaceful loving connections.

How to get there
I’m so excited that you’ll be joining us in Costa Rica! Here’s everything you need to know about getting here. I’ve put together this guide to make your journey as smooth and enjoyable as possible, whether you’re coming from nearby or flying in from across the world.
1. Fly into Costa Rica (San José or Liberia)
First, you’ll need to fly into one of Costa Rica’s two major international airports:
- San José (Juan SantamarÃa International Airport – SJO) is the most popular airport for international travelers. It’s the best option if you’re heading to Tambor because there are direct domestic flights from here.Â
- Liberia (Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport – LIR) is another option, though it’s a bit further from Tambor. This might be a good choice if you’re planning to explore more of Costa Rica before or after the retreat.
Most likely, you’ll be flying into San José. It’s a busy airport with lots of connections from all over the world.
2. Domestic Flight to Tambor (TMU)
Once you’ve landed, the easiest way to get to Tambor Bay is to hop on a quick domestic flight to Tambor (TMU).
- From San José, it’s only a 30-minute flight on either Sansa Airlines or Green Airways. The flight is quick, scenic, and a great way to see Costa Rica from above!
- If you’re coming from Liberia, flights to Tambor are less frequent, so it’s typically better to fly out of San José.Â
We recommend booking your domestic flight early to make sure you have a seat.
3. By Land or Sea (from San José)
If you’d prefer to travel by land or sea instead of flying, there are a couple of options:
- Option 1: Shuttle & Ferry (from San José)
You can take a shuttle or taxi from San José to Puntarenas, which is about a 2-hour drive. - From Puntarenas, you’ll catch the ferry to Paquera. The ferry takes about 70 minutes, and it’s a beautiful ride across the Gulf of Nicoya.
- Once you arrive at Paquera, it’s about a 45-minute drive to Tambor Bay.
If you choose this option, let us know! We can help you arrange the shuttle and ferry so your travel goes smoothly.
Option 2: Private Shuttle
You can also book a private shuttle to drive directly from San José (or Liberia) to Tambor. This route takes about 4-5 hours and offers stunning views of Costa Rica’s landscapes—think lush forests, rolling hills, and coastal villages.
This is a great option if you love scenic road trips and want to see more of Costa Rica along the way.
4. Arriving at the Retreat
Once you arrive in Tambor Bay, we’ll be there to greet you! If you need help with the final leg of the trip—whether you’re coming from the airport or the ferry—just let us know, and we’ll help you arrange transportation to the retreat.
Some Helpful Travel Tips
- Book early: Costa Rica is a popular destination, so it’s a good idea to book your flights (both international and domestic) as early as possible, especially if you’re coming during the high season (December to April).
- Pack light: If you’re flying domestically, keep in mind that there are usually weight limits for luggage. I suggest packing light, bringing just the essentials.
- Travel insurance: To keep your mind at ease, I recommend purchasing travel insurance to cover any unexpected changes in your plans.
- Check COVID-19 regulations: Be sure to check the latest entry requirements for Costa Rica. If you need any help with this, I’m happy to guide you through it.
